Leadenhall Ministries

“Where Life Meets Purpose”

Leadenhall Baptist Church has a wonderful foundation of history.  Our mission is “Where Life Meets Purpose”. Leadenhall has a vase amount ministries to join. Which are continuously growing. At Leadenhall we value your spiritual growth and provide many opportunities for you to engage in worship and study. We are known for our tremendous work within our community and Christian education.

The Brotherhood is a collective group of all men within our church. The purpose of Leadenhall Brotherhood ministry is to serve the church spiritually, financially, and physically; but most importantly, the Brotherhood members were to fellowship with one another. The Brotherhood sponsors a number of events such as Saturday morning bible study, church cookout, crab feast, Man of the year, and male chorus.

The mission of The Sisterhood Ministry is to meet the unique needs of all women of the church. Every woman in the church is a member of the ministry, which makes it the church’s largest ministry. The women seek to create a loving, caring, sharing atmosphere within the church and also in the community. The Sisterhood sponsors multiple events such as Royal Ladies and Mother of the Year.

Christian Education

Community Outreach

Christian Education:

The Christian Education Ministry provides opportunities to learn the word of God.  This ministry includes not only the traditional Sunday church school, for youth and adults; but also encompasses Wednesday Evening, Saturday Morning Bible Study, Sunday Morning Bible Study, Youth Church, Teen Temple, Vacation Bible School, Noon-day Prayer Service, Senior Saints Friday Bible Study, New Member Orientation and local and national opportunities to participate in learning experiences through the United Baptist Missionary Convention of Maryland and the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education.  The curriculum is an eclectic, prescribed and selected, study based upon the needs of the audience and consistent with the church’s mission and vision.

Community Outreach:

The Leadenhall Community Center, Inc., which opened in July 2018,  is designed to help the church carry out its mission to support residents in undeserved communities.   The services include employment training, veteran services, health screenings, food services, after-school programs, homelessness intervention, and activities for seniors. The Community Eat Together, serves a noon-day meal to individuals at least three Mondays of every month.  The ministry considers it a blessing to be able to offer not only spiritual food through prayer, but also food to those who are less fortunate in the community.
